General Membership meeting August 18, 6:30 - 9:00 pm

It's been two months, and we have lots to discuss - unemployment, immigration, deficit, wars, energy, environment, health care, financial reforms, privacy... And it's an election year. August 18 will be our ever-popular salon format, where you participate and shape outcomes. More details as the date draws near.

Olga will give us a frontline view of Escondido police practices

including Escondido's new policy encouraging ICE "ride along's"

in police cars and participation in police checkpoints.

Agenda includes OFA update; open discussion on Arizona law, litigation, and CD 50;  brief Congressional update; and scholarship fundraising for local Dream Act students.
